- Federal Court Stays Proceedings in No-Match Litigation (11/23/07): The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) motion to stay proceedings until March 1, 2008. The stay is pending a new rulemaking effort that DHS maintains will address the court's concerns with its regulation on SSA no-match letters. AFL-CIO v. Chertoff, No. 07-4472 (N.D.Cal. 11/23/07).
- I-9 Alert!: On Tuesday, November 6, 2007 the USCIS announced that it has released a new version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, as well as the M-274, Handbook for Employers, Instructions for Completing the Form I-9. Both are available on the USCIS website. Click Here.
