DHS and ICE Acknowledge the Temporary Restraining Order on No-Match Letters - 9/24/2007

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have updated their websites acknowledging the Temporary Restraining Order which prohibits the DHS from mailing notices to employers regarding "no match" Social Security numbers. U.S. District Judge Maxine M. Chesney issued the restraining order on August 31, 2007. The restraining order stands until October 1, 2007, when another federal judge will consider whether to grant a permanent injunction..
